OBJECT OF THE GAME :

The object of WashOut is to score EXACTLY 21 points by tossing washers into marked scoring cups on the WashOut boards.

 

BACKGROUND :

This game has been called many different names — Washers, Texas Horseshoes, Washer Toss, Hillbilly Horseshoes, Holy Boards and portable washers are just a few.  Most likely you have seen some variation at a campground, tailgate party or in someone's back yard.

Rumor is,  the washers game supposedly started in the Texas oil fields as a way to pass time. They originally played the game with huge steel washers and used a hole dug into the ground. Most likely it began with a phrase similar to :  “Dude, I betcha I can toss this here washer into that can over yonder”.  Many different versions of this all time classic game have been created over the years, leading us to WashOut.

We have added backboards and side rails to the original game, as well as 3 different valued scoring cups. WashOut can be played by 2 players, or 2 teams of 2. 

 

WHAT MAKES WashOut DIFFERENT:

We have created a sturdy, portable game, that uses skill, strategy and some luck.  It can be played inside, or out,  just about anywhere you have about 10 feet of space. It can be used in it’s original manner, placed on the floor, or at table height. Each of our games is handmade of quality materials, in the great state of Maine.

WHY IS IT CALLED WashOut ?

A WashOut is what happens when you throw your 3 washers, 1 in each value cup in one round. You automatically win the game, UNLESS your opponent can do the exact same thing on his next 3 washers. Whereas many peeps have thrown a WashOut, only TWO people  to date have been able to follow one with another. Our Facebook page has a whole photo album devoted to those who have thrown a WashOut witnessed by one of us.

 

PUBS, CLUBS & ORGANIZATIONS :

We will provide you with a demo version to use for a week.  Try it out, run tournaments, gauge the success of it’s popularity, and determine if it is right for your establishment.

 

If you like what you see, we will produce the number of games you desire, in your choice of colors. We can also add your brand or logo to the units.

 

Or, we can schedule a tournament at your place. We will provide all the games, and run the tournament. All you need to do is promote the event, and ring in the sales that night !
